My Story
From Saskatoon to Cannes, opera stages to First Nation housing.
Designer, former model and opera singer, mother of three, survivor, educator and founder of Clean Tech Hub. This is the long way around to a single mission — a less wasteful, less toxic, more humane world.
Saskatoon · Born & Raised
An adventurous spirit, raised by entrepreneurs.
Born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. My family ran auto body, tape music DJ and Amway businesses, and we travelled often across Canada and the USA — Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa and St. John's. Curiosity and motion were the family inheritance.
Age 19 · The Source / Radio Shack
Falling in love with technology.
I started selling personal electronics at The Source (Radio Shack), excelled, and became assistant manager quickly. I watched the dawn of the BlackBerry full keyboard, the iPod, the iPhone and flat-screens. I knew I was obsessed with tech.
Age 20 · Australia, Thailand, New Zealand
A year abroad — work, surf, story.
I moved to Australia for almost a year, working and travelling the Gold Coast with stints in Thailand and New Zealand. The world got bigger. So did I.
Kelowna, BC · Bachelor of Business Administration
Marketing degree, four exchanges, one guitar.
Back in Canada I moved to Kelowna to study Business Administration, specializing in Marketing. At 22, my parents gifted me an acoustic guitar and I started singing. I went on four exchanges — Quebec, France, Croatia and China — soaking up culture, food and music.
Opera & Electro
Classical voice meets Cannes.
I studied and performed classical opera in Quebec and with Opera Kelowna. After Europe I collaborated with French artist Peter Kitsch and Canadian artist Roox on electro music — our song Come 2 Me was featured at the Cannes Music Festival in France.
10 Years Modeling · 5 Years BC Film
On camera, on set, on stage.
I modeled actively for about 10 years and worked in the BC film industry for about 5. Arts and culture were my heartbeat — but tech kept pulling me back as social media and ecommerce boomed.
2016–2018 · Motherhood & Survival
The hardest chapter.
In 2016 I became a mother to my daughter. My partner at the time became increasingly abusive. We separated in 2017 — I was already pregnant with baby #2. I was diagnosed with severe anemia and battered woman's syndrome. With my family's help I escaped, and recovered in my safe haven of Saskatchewan. In 2018 I gave birth to a healthy baby boy, and found my forever love and partner.
August 2019 · Married 💕
Solace in tech, freedom in teaching.
We married in August 2019. I dove deep into tech and ecommerce — it gave me solace and financial freedom — and started teaching courses online and in person. I worked with SAAR and deepened my roots in the auto body industry. In late 2019 I met Randy Janes of Wave of the Future 3D and was gobsmacked by their waste-to-pellet technology.
2020 · Pivot
COVID, plastics, and a hard reckoning.
I honeymooned in Mexico and came home to a world locking down. At the time I was importing a lot of non-biodegradable plastic from overseas, and I could no longer ignore the harm. I pivoted into the tech start-up world — first solving local supply chain issues, then moving into waste-to-product technology.
2021 · Baby #3
A daughter, and a deeper why.
In 2021 I gave birth to a baby girl. I took time to care for my kids while still working part-time with SAAR. As they grew, I went back into research on plastics and circular technologies — looking for something that would actually move the needle for the planet and for people.
March 2025 · Wastēyapit Homes
Semi-indestructible homes for First Nation communities.
I joined Wave of the Future 3D on a groundbreaking project: semi-indestructible homes for First Nation communities. That's when I found my true purpose — using waste-to-product tech to solve the housing and homelessness crisis.
2026 · Today
Nine years on, and just getting started.
It's been about nine years since I recovered from the abusive relationship. I'm working on housing and continuing research on waste-to-product technology. My family is also revitalizing Burke Lake. My children are my drive. I'll never stop learning, I'll never retire, and I'll never stop growing — there's too much beauty (and too much to fix) in this world. I'm fully committed to family, and to making it better for every generation that follows.
The Material
Why PLA changes everything.
Every Clean Tech Hub purse is printed in PLA — a bioplastic made from a corn-starch and sugar blend. It has roughly a 60-year shelf life and, unlike conventional plastic, it naturally biodegrades.
